A good first conversation starts before you open the app. Vocari connects two nearby phones, while each person’s Bluetooth headset supplies the microphone and playback. Checking those two parts separately makes setup much easier.
Start with the audio you already own
Pair your headset to your phone and make a normal call. Can the other person hear its microphone? Can you hear them through the earpieces? A music-only check misses the microphone half of the connection. If either part fails outside Vocari, address the headset pairing, battery or phone settings first.
Use a device with a Bluetooth calling microphone and the Hands-Free Profile (HFP). A listen-only product or a wired headset is outside Vocari’s current support scope. “Bluetooth” on a box does not by itself prove compatibility.
Give each person a phone and headset
Both phones need Vocari installed. Android is available from Google Play; the completed iPhone app supports Android–iPhone and iPhone–iPhone communication and is awaiting Apple review before public App Store availability. Check Google Play for device eligibility rather than assuming every Android phone is supported.
Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then open Vocari. Complete the app’s first-launch steps and required permissions. No Wi-Fi router is required, with or without internet service. Vocari connects the phones directly. Keep Wi-Fi switched on for that direct connection; you do not need to join a shared Wi-Fi network.
Choose one host
On the first phone, select Host → Show QR Code. On the other, select Join → Scan QR Code. Use the scanner inside Vocari and follow any operating-system connection prompt. There is no need to choose a wireless transport manually.
If scanning is inconvenient, the host can choose Show Join Code, and the other person can use Enter Join Code. Keep the host’s waiting screen open. A code from an ended or canceled Host session should not be reused.
Test both directions
Once the session is connected, speak from the first headset and confirm the second person hears it. Then reverse the test. Start in a quiet place with the phones close together. Move to the intended environment only after that simple check succeeds.
Vocari does not intentionally move the conversation to a phone microphone or speaker if the headset is lost. Reconnect your headset. If audio does not resume, end the session and start a fresh Host session. Use End when the conversation is finished.
Keep a useful note if something fails
Record both phone models, system versions, app versions, headset models and the join method. Note which direction failed. Those details are more useful than “Bluetooth didn’t work”—and you do not need to send private conversation text.
